The foundation of Abdulkadir Konukoglu Science High School was laid in 2005. It started to operate in block B of Nigar Erturk High School, which was its temporary location, in the academic year of 2005 – 2006. It started to operate in its own building at the beginning of the academic year of 2006 – 2007. The hostel of the school was brought into service in 2009, and the gym was put into service in 2013.
The conversion of the school from Anatolian Teacher Training High School to Science High School was realized in June 2014.
